Earl Book

A hauntingly beautiful and texturally rich visual exploration designed to showcase the print performance of ‘Earl’, a new range of premium coated paper with the tactile hand feel of an uncoated surface.

The etymology of the word ‘Earl’ dates back to the Viking age in 512 AD and is derived from the Scandinavian word, ‘Jarl’; meaning chieftain, brave man, nobleman and leader. The visual concept for the Earl book is a contemporary interpretation of the Viking title ‘Jarl’ romanticised through their shamanistic rituals, pagan customs and fearless strength of character.
